When an aging rocker and recovering alcoholic Rex Fingers discovers he has liver cancer and is denied treatment in America because of his dissolute past, he mortgages everything and travels to Myanmar only to find himself in the middle of a dangerous political landscape that tests the boundaries of his moral identity.
